Why does it take a heart to break
To let us know how fragile we are
When does it repair, it is so unfair
We simply notice the depth of despair
When the heart skips a beat
When we face defeat
Do we uncover ice where there once was heat
We can walk away and hope it won't repeat
It can deviate from emptiness i say
Why settle for the pain another day
We can try once again to make amends
We might find a way to keep our friends
Knowing I was mistaken I apologize
My choice was unwise
Take my hand once more
Please walk through my door
With you, we can share what forgiveness can restore
